We've had sunny weather for a whole week last week, temperatures were at a maximum of 27 c (86 F). However my weekend was even hotter, 38.9 C (102 F) and it felt like my whole body was burning up ! I really should bitch more about things rather then keeping them bottled up.
Lately in the news is the Austrian guy who shockingly locked away his own daughter away for 24 years. The repercussions of this have an effect on a whole country and it's people. Local radio stations in London and the BBC have been asking "Are you Austrian, and if so how do you think this latest abuse scandal will affect your country's citizens and Austria's reputation internationally? How do you think your country will cope with this in the long term?". I find it bizarre how you could link the actions of an individual who is not elected to a whole country. Granted there has been two other similar cases of people getting locked away in cellars but does that mean the whole country and everyone in it is at fault ?
We are seeing too much of this mass labelling, when it's only the actions of a few. It's unfortunate, it's life.
What do you do when you feel old to recapture your youth ? Buy a brand new sport's car ? Nope can't afford one. Instead I bought a new bicycle. Hand crafted in Taiwan, it has a front suspension so I can attempt some downhill jumps and ride on some trails.
I haven't ridden a bicycle in years, the last time I was on a bicycle. I managed to crash into the ground and cut my head with blood dripping down my brow. That wasn't the worse part, I also fractured my arm which led to internal bleeding. So my elbow swelled so much that I couldn't move my arm. I ended up in hospital having to be impaled by gigantic syringe to drain out all the blood.
One of my must read blogs is the Phototshop disasters blog, I would say the majority of movie posters feature very obvious head swaps.
Spider-Man 2 has already been featured on the photoshop disasters site, being a fan of spidey, I downloaded the wallpapers of the official movie site when they first became available, here is the copy from my hard drive. If you look at the webbing on Spider-Man's suit where Mary Jane's hand is you can see it's misaligned. I only noticed it a few days after having as my desktop background, I went back to the site and the wallpaper was fixed.
This is quite a cool T-shirt with famous cars on it, available at la fraise. I don' t know the car above the A-team van or the one above the ghostbusters hearse. I think the van from Scooby Doo or the car from Speed Racer could go there too.
One of the rare and few times that TVB has found a formula to recapture the best of kung fu TV series. The actor that plays Vincent Zhao's master is a personal favorite.

Some days I wake up in bed prematurely, I have an annoying trait that if I ever wake up like this it's very difficult for me to get back to sleep again, so rather than roll around in bed. I get up and go to work much earlier, like today. It's not such a bad thing, getting up a bit earlier has the benefits of less traffic on the road so the journey is every so slightly serene, when you have the time to notice the morning mist rolling gently over the green hill tops. Though that soon disappears into an urban traffic jam, I enjoyed it while it lasted.
We get older each day but do we get wiser ?
Do we still make the same mistakes or have we learned and done things differently ?
I sometimes see older people who have become set in their own ways and find great difficulty embracing change ...
If I ever become like that, it will be the end of me.
The bank of England cut interest rates again, that pains me because last year I moved to a fixed interest mortgage last year, at that time the interest rate was continually going up and now it's cut below the rate which I fixed it at ... arrrgh !
On top of that the fuel, energy and foods costs are getting higher and higher, I'm just about braking even each month !
